We gather guided by the energy of the New Moon in this intimate and sweet space between the worlds to drink tea, tune in, and foster self expression and community.
Hosted by Madre Jaguar and Courtnay Robbins, every gathering includes a shared tea ritual and is an experience co-created by all in attendance.
The new moon is an ideal time for quiet introspection, when deep listening allows space for inner wisdom to unfold. Madre Jaguar opens the space with a seasonal offering to the moon, honoring the directions, seen and unseen guardians, sacred essences and all those in attendance. She will share insight about the energy of the day and offer guidance from the Oracle.
Courtnay will then share tea in a meditative ceremony that invites each participant to connect with the sensory experience - the steam gently rising from the kettle, the feeling of a warm cup in your hands, the scent of the tea leaves awakened by hot water, and whatever arises spontaneously in the moment.
Through quiet contemplation, noticing becomes more focused, drawing us into the present moment. This tea ritual is inspired by Courtnay's years of study in Japanese tea ceremony and traditional hatha yoga and meditation. The tea she will share is all personally sourced from single-origin producers in Japan and Vietnam who focus on tea as a way of life that is in harmony with the land.
For each gathering, she selects a tea that connects with the theme of the new moon and the season from her collection of wild, organic and rare tea varieties.
Ponder the mysteries of life amongst kindred spirits and enjoy rare tea. Whether you just want to sit in silence and observe or there is something present in your heart that is longing to be shared - this is a safe space where all are welcome!
